  • Question the myths that you hear about sexual violence
  • Treat others with respect
  • Educate others
  • Volunteer your time
  • Attend local events

  • Realize you do make an impact. Every day we have the opportunity to affect others either positively or negatively with our words and actions. Challenge yourself to “be the change you wish to see in the world” each day.

Become a Hotline Advocate

If you are at least 18 years old and think you’d like to become an advocate, please contact our office for more information. Trainings usually take place in the fall and spring months.

As a hotline advocate, you:

  • Provide telephone support to victim/survivors, their families and other supporters
  • Accompany victim/survivors to the hospital to receive treatment and/or a rape exam
  • Provide support through the legal process
  • Offer referrals that can provide callers with additional assistance
